A rare antique French porcelain pyrogen with a Longwy enamel flower decoration, allowing matches to be lit by rubbing them on the grooved surface.


 Please note that pyrogens do not work with traditional matches; if you wish to use them, you will need sulfur matches, also called "strike anywhere," which are usually ordered from the United States.
