A large silver-plated cake stand with a wide tapered foot and a pretty pearl relief on the edge. It is heavy and very stable for presenting all kinds of pastries, small cakes, etc.
Probably coming from a Swiss palace.
The underside of the foot is obscured by a piece of wood covered with fabric.
