A large earthenware soup tureen from Gien (France), Coq aux pivoines model, hand-painted like a 19th century painting with a Japanese influence that was very fashionable at the time.

 Period late 19th century.
 Good general condition for the exterior, some chips at the foot of the tureen and on the interior edge (visible in the photo), some of which have been repaired. Interior of the soup tureen rather patinated.
