Elegant round serving dish, slightly hollow,  in silver plated metal stamped Ercuis.  Period early twentieth century.
 
 The Ercuis house, founded in 1867 north of Paris, is a renowned supplier of silverware for the great French hotels and the most beautiful tables.  of  cruise ships,  such as Normandy in the 1930s and France in the 1960s. Today L'Orient Express still uses Ercuis brand silverware.
