A large oval silver-plated bell of fine quality, from the McAlpin Hotel in New York.

 The McAlpin Hotel is a luxury hotel located on Broadway. Opened in 1912, it was converted into apartments in the 1970s. The building has since been called Herald Towers.
 We can imagine all the celebrities of the Belle Epoque whose dishes were kept warm by this cloche!
