Large and elegant oval serving dish with slightly raised and scalloped edges, in ocher-colored glazed earthenware from the South of France in Biot, Vallauris region.
Biot is a small village, know to be the main clay jars manufacture in Mediteranean area since XVIth century. Then making more elaborated object from the XVIIIth century. During the second part of XXth, the activity of pottery gradually dried out and gave way to the work of glass.
